Michael DeAddio
Michael DeAddio is the Chief Operating Officer of Dark Forest Capital Management, a CT based quantitative hedge fund. Prior to Dark Forest, Michael was President and COO of WorldQuant, responsible for global day-to-day operations, execution of strategic business initiatives and capital development initiatives. Michael has had a long and industrious career in financial services, serving in a variety of C-Suite positions including Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Silver Point Capital and Managing Director at Citadel. Michael received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Rob Fleischman
Rob Fleischman currently chairs multiple groups within Tiger 21 where he advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and financial advisors on topics ranging from investments, to family wealth issues and philanthropy. Previous to Tiger 21, Rob founded multiple technology start-ups, and held senior engineering positions at large technology and financial companies (BBN, Fidelity, Highwind, Software.com, Openwave, Sandvine, Xerocole, Akamai, and others). He holds multiple patents, invented and helped build news, messaging and DNS technologies that currently process trillions of transactions daily on the Internet. Rob received his bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Jonathan Straub
Jonathan Straub, JD, CAIA is a Founder and Principal of AdvicePeriod, a $5 billion boutique RIA based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to launching AdvicePeriod, Jon spent the previous decade at Convergent Wealth Advisors, building it into one of the nation’s first $10 billion RIA firms and leading its post-acquisition integration strategy with City National Bank. With executive leadership experience across wealth advisory, FinTech, and corporate strategy, Jon’s primary focus is building AdvicePeriod’s team of employees, partners, and systems into the integrated professional services firm of the future. In addition to advising Wellesley Asset Management, Jon serves as an Advisory Board Member to Betterment for Advisors, and is a venture investor to Just Invest, LLC (acquired by Vanguard), Advizr (acquired by Orion), Quovo (acquired by Plaid), Altruist, and Pathwater.
David Canter
David is CEO of Finley Point Strategy LLC, a consulting firm to the wealth, asset management and FinTech ecosystem. David is also a Strategic Advisor to CAIS, and a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co. He is the former Head of Fidelity Investments’ RIA and Family Office businesses, and former President of Bluespring Wealth Partners, a national RIA acquirer.
For more than two decades, David has advised the CEOs of many of the wealth management industry’s largest and most complex participants. During his career, David has held numerous positions at several well-respected financial institutions gaining experience in multiple facets of the industry. From Head Legal Counsel of Schwab Institutional, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Post Advisory Group, and other roles focused on practice management, trading and operations, consulting, and investments—David is a well-rounded leader in the RIA space. David currently sits on the Boards of the Accordant Investments mutual fund family, Parallel Advisors, Invest in Others, and was a prior Board member of Fidelity Brokerage Services, LLC and the Foundation for Financial Planning. In 1990, David received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore Law in 1993. He currently holds his FINRA Series 24 license and is a California State Bar member.
